Catherine Doorley is an emerging textile artist based in North Co. Dublin. Her practice involves using hand embroidery techniques on hand dyed fabric. She also includes elements of print in her art.

After a 20 year career in education, Catherine returned to education herself, and studied art in the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin. She started her studies in the CEAD evening classes, obtaining a Certificate in Visual Art Practice in 2022 and a Higher Diploma in Visual Art in 2024. She transferred to the Department of Applied Materials and graduated with a BA Textile Art and Artefact in 2025.

Catherine is a Creative Associate for the Creative Schools program with the Arts Council, and worked as an artist for the TAP+ and BLAST programs in primary schools in North Dublin.

Her most recent achievements include exhibiting in the NCAD Works exhibition in June 2025.
