This work is inspired by the unintentional marks we leave behind in and on the world, mark-marking we mostly don’t know we are participating in, and how this contributes to the story we leave behind. I am fascinated about how we can leave marks of our presence in the world without grand gestures or sometimes even awareness.

These traces were also echoed as I witnessed the demolition of the flats on Dorset Street in Dublin during my daily commute. Everyday a different section of the building was brought into view, exhibiting what was once inside. Private spaces were exposed and ripped open, sections of wallpaper revealing taste and function of someone’s home, each space harboring their own stories to tell. Yet the following day that exposed internal view was gone and so were their stories.
